Hamburger buns

Use the recipe in getting started  http://3900bread.blogspot.com/p/getting-started.html

I have found a special way of making each hamburger bun the same size.

using 1/2 cup measuring; put in a blob of dough.

Then using a hamburger press to press them round like a bun.

Let them rise 20 minutes;  Bake 375 for approx 45 min.

I use a cookie sheet

Bread: Pizza

Bread: Pizza: Pizza dough is basic;  1 3/4 c warm water - 2tbl. yeast -enough flour so the dough is slightly sticky-tsp salt optional Today  it is going...

This makes 2 large pizzas. If you have never worked with bread dough before check out the page I wrote on getting started.
Preheat oven 425
When making pizza dough I double rise dough as in my post getting started. Once you form the crust on your cookie sheet or pizza stone or pizza pan you do not need to let it rise as you would rolls or a loaf.

This pizza had garlic salt-  Brats- onion- (Precooked together) Sliced tomato on top.

I sprinkled the garlic salt on the crust all over it- then placed my precooked items- oven is preheated 425
DO NOT PLACE ANY CHEES YET!
I place the pizza in the hot oven for 10 minutes then  after adding cheese  another 10-15 minutes with cheese till it is bubbly. Some like their cheese slightly browned. I like mine well melted.

IF YOU HAVE NEVER WORKED WITH BREAD DOUGH BEFORE CHECK OUT http://3900bread.blogspot.com/p/getting-started.html.

IT WILL GIVE YOU STEP BY  STEP. The recipe I wrote below in my last post can make 2 large pizzas  I opted for one pizza and 6 hamburger buns

With this pizza because I was lazy I used King Arthur unbleached bread flour.

whole wheat flour

I know many do not want to grind their own wheat. First I would like to say you do not know what you are missing. With that said here are two brand names  that I trust and have used.

Hodgens Mill and King Arthur flours. I especially like Hodgens Mill yeast I have ordered it by the case before. So worth it.
